Am gach.
Now while I have an accounting background I have always loved computers and programming and therefore I have set myself a goal of learning Java from scratch all the way to being a professional Java Programmer. Ok, not exactly from scratch - I think I will bypass the hello world step!
Why Java? To be quite frank, am not very sure but I have tried messing around with other programming languages, especially C# which I think is very neat and cool but for some reason Java feels right for me - Its just this feeling that I cant explain. I think there the reasons of cross-platform capabilities, interesting learning curve (not too hard and not too easy) and also the fact that I would also like to make a few android programs but I cannot say for sure that these are the reasons am going for Java. Anyway I have been messing around with other languages for far too long. I need to settle down and move ... so Java it is. My source will be from various java books and of course the internet.
I will always appreciate positive feedback from any of you who will be bothered to follow my posts and for the pros - go easy on me, am learning and I believe I will get there some day.
I don't think this is an easy task and I don't expect it to be, especially since I have to create time from my busy schedule to learn and write on the blog, but am sure it will be fun - after all I will be doing what I have always wanted to do. Hoping some day I will be creating awesome java programs and be paid for it.
